By training a team of grade 5 and 6 students to engage younger students in organized activities, the Playground Leadership Program creates a safe play environment while fostering leadership skills, conflict resolution and social development. Results of implementing the program include more structured playtime, a reduction in aggressive behaviour, and a decrease in injuries.
